Even if we acknowledge that everything has already been invented, let us not forget that purpose of INNOVATION today is not in inventing something completely new, rather how to improve something that already exists. By surprising, even thrilling our customers through a continuous development of new products and services, on our way from a small repair and servicing workshop to becoming a leaders in the sale and maintenance of motor vehicles, we have also learned something else. If we aspire to average, we will be average, but if we are motivated by EXCELENCE, then we can outdo even ourselves! Or at least others: our service and technical team was four times pronounced the best in national and international competition. Culture of excellence is also fostered by education curriculum for the employees of AutoZubak and reward system.


All knowledge and skills obtained in the first 30 years of our work are today our everyday driving ENERGY of AutoZubak, available through physical services or online services 24 hours a day. Education

Central education event "Battle field"

Central event of professional education for all employees: "from mechanics to accounting department". 2 day event of how to enhance professional skills, create innovation and participate in specific competition challenge. Participation of all Zubak’s suppliers and partners. Gold medal award for best employee.

Front office school

Development of front office staff in sales and after sales: 2 year course structured in 4 modules: Psychology of sales and communication, Sales pitch, Dealing with conflict situation, Sales negotiation and management of priorities, Followed by staff certification.

Executive Management Program

Education program for middle and top management - 2 year course structured in 4 business modules: strategy, innovation, Finance and customer relationship, Lecturers from eminent business schools in the region and world such as Harvard, Stanford, GA Tech, Bocconi, Warwich etc.

Social Responsibility

Thanks to continuous efforts invested over the years in optimizing the utilization of natural and human resources and raising of social awareness, AutoZubak has established itself in the social community as a recognizable promotor of socially responsible business. Through donations and sponsorships, we actively participate in numerous social initiatives, supporting the community in various charity, cultural, educational, sports and other projects.


We are proud that, in the framework of our partnership with UNICEF, we have donated 8 vehicles in eight years. In doing so, we have brought the necessary services closer to thousands of children whose quality of life and future depend precisely on the use of the donated vehicles. Thanks to them, the children and their parents manage to do everything on time, which used to be quite difficult particularly in the case of the youngest children with developmental problems. We have managed to change their lives for the better, enriching at the same time our own lives by expressing solidarity with the most vulnerable among us.


We are aware of the importance of the relationship between business entities and cultural institutions for the development of a successful society. This is why we have been supporting cultural happenings and sporting events for many years now, since it is precisely by nurturing a sporting spirit that we aspire to strengthen the spirit of togetherness.


By adopting the principles of modern corporate governance and sustainable development as a whole, we have committed ourselves to investing further continuous efforts in establishing a long-term active socially responsible business policy.

History

  • 1978

    Mr. Pavo Zubak opens a car shop for all vehicle brands in Sesvetski Kraljevec.

  • 1979

    We have become an authorized dealer of Volkswagen and AUDI vehicles.

  • 1985

    In 1985 the service center already had 60 employees.

  • 1987

    We have received the City of Zagreb Award for 'level of service, interior and exterior design and cleanliness and service quality'

  • 1990

    Car sales is added to the list of our company’s registered activities. As V.A.G. Commerce we become the first private and also the largest distributor of Volkswagen vehicles.

  • 1992

    Import and distribution of Volkswagen spare parts for the Croatian market.

  • 1993

    Volkswagen and Audi have entrusted us with the sale of their vehicles in Croatia.

  • 1995

    A large and modern business center with a car dealership and Volkswagen service center, and central warehouse for spare parts is built in Velika Gorica and the facility has soon become our company’s headquarters.

  • 1997

    The company has the biggest market share of VW Group’s vehicles in Europe (24.63%). The same year we have been awarded recognition by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Zlatna kuna in Mid-Size Company Category. Business Center with a car dealership and service shop built in Velika Gorica.

  • 1998

    Žrnovnica, the future commercial and tourism complex, is added to the company’s portfolio.

  • 1999

    P.Z. Auto d.o.o. (general vehicle dealer for all VW Group brands) is formed as a joint venture of our company and Austrian Porsche Holding. Also, Audi Centre Croatia opens for business in Sesvete.

  • 2002

    Our company forms a finance company called Z-plus leasing which later develops into the Finance Centre concept. New Seat dealership and service center opens in Velika Gorica. The Fleet Management Project is launched.

  • 2003

    The companies Zubak - Auto kuća Zubak, Autocentar Zubak and Zubak auto now AutoZubak. Our company has significantly expanded its activities, including a new concept of fleet management services offered to corporate clients. Škoda dealership opens in Varaždin – first outside the Zagreb region.

  • 2004

    AutoZubak marks its 25th anniversary. Audi and Seat dealership and service center open in Osijek, and new Volkswagen and Seat dealership open in Sisak.

  • 2005

    New dealership and service center opens in Pula, though ŠKODA vehicles have been in the market there for a year. Škoda dealership and service centers open in Požega and Slavonski Brod.

  • 2006

    Volkswagen dealership and service center opens in Koprivnica and our company is awarded Poslodavac Partner Certificate. Also, AutoZubak is certified according to ISO 9001:2000. The control ISO audit by the importer is a quality management system implemented by certified partners and includes continual quality maintenance and enhancement in car sales departments and post sales, which includes vehicle servicing and sales of original spare parts.

  • 2007

    Former Auto Management Center includes Safe Driving Centre, Driving School and Fleet Management, today’s Fleet Management Service. Volkswagen dealership and service center open in Požega, and Audi dealerships and service centers in Varaždin and Slavonski Brod. The company AZ CROBUS is formed.

  • 2008

    First Croatian rent a car - AMC Rent a car (today’s ORYX Rent a car) opens for business. Also, SEAT dealership in Pula, Škoda dealership in Poreč and Škoda dealership and service center in Sesvetski Kraljevec open for business. Auto Management Center, today’s ORYX Group, is formed.

  • 2009

    The new Volkswagen and Škoda dealership and service center open doors in Sisak. AutoZubak awarded Superbrands 2009 status.

  • 2010

    The AMC Assistance, Service packages, Loyalty club and Crobus projects at full throttle New services and projects include Service packages, INOVA and AMC Assistance, today’s ORYX Assistance.

  • 2011

    Our company becomes a leader in used car sales. AutoZubak Fleet Management Service has been awarded Superbrands status, ISO 9001 and “Izvorno hrvatsko” label and manages a fleet of 5,500 vehicles.

  • 2012

    Autokuća Burić and AutoZubak have joined forces and the three Istrian car salons and service centers for Audi, Volkswagen, Škoda and Seat brands have become Burić AutoZubak.

  • 2013

    AZ Crobus is awarded a two billion kuna contract. AutoZubak opens a new used car dealership in Split. AutoZubak Group opens its new Veladrion business and tourism complex in Žrnovnica.

  • 2014

    AutoZubak Neostar is formed. AutoZubak Neostar Service Center for all brands of vehicles and Neostar Pre-Owned Vehicles for Sale welcome their first customers.
